The Cricket King is a research tool for cricket player props across T20, ODI and Test. We project a realistic number for every player on the slate, compare it to the posted line, and surface the spots where the two disagree the most. Here's the whole approach, in plain English.
For each player and each market β runs, fours, sixes, wickets, fantasy score β we estimate what we actually expect to happen in the match. Not a guess, but a number grounded in recent form, the role and batting position, how the player performs in each phase of an innings, the opponent, the format and the conditions at the ground. That projection is the foundation for everything else.
Every prop comes with a line. We show our projection and the model's win probability beside it and leave the comparison to you. We used to publish the gap as an edge and sort it into Elite / Strong / Lean / Pass tiers; we no longer do.
We graded them. Over a 500-row window spanning 24 dates the board hit 50.6%, against the 57.74% a two-pick entry has to clear to break even; the full history in the same file is 324-333 (49.3%, -60.73 units). The best confidence arm we could find reached 56.98% and none of 45 tests survived a Holm correction for having looked 45 times. The surfaced tier's own picks hit 58.52% with a Wilson lower bound of 50.1% β under the hurdle. A tier that cannot be shown to work is not a conviction, so we stopped printing one.
Optimal slips were retired on 2026-07-28. A slip asserts four things at once β a win probability, a payout multiple, an EV% and a stake β and not one of the four survives a board probability we could not distinguish from a flat prior over 871 graded picks. We no longer assemble them, and we do not publish an expected value or a recommended stake anywhere. Projections and lines are unchanged on the board.
Once matches finish, every pick we posted is graded β win, loss, push or void β and added to our track record. You can see our hit rate and return over time. Nothing gets quietly deleted after the fact.
No. Cricket is a high-variance sport and even our highest-confidence picks lose regularly. The goal is to be right more often than the price implies over a large number of plays β which is exactly why we publish a transparent track record.
The board refreshes through the day as lines and information move, so the projections and lines you see reflect the latest available picture before the first ball. (We no longer publish an edge β see βWhy the tiers are goneβ above.)
Yes β the board is format-aware and follows the active calendar across international fixtures and the major franchise leagues, with projections tuned to each format's length and rhythm.
Power slips pay more but every leg must hit. Flex slips pay less per win but still return something if one leg misses. We build and size both so you can choose the risk profile you're comfortable with.
We do not publish a recommended stake β we withdrew it along with the edge and the EV, because a stake is a claim about an edge we cannot demonstrate. Size your own plays, only ever risk money you can afford to lose, and treat this as an information tool, not financial advice.
